“A biting, bitter, tongue bruiser or an ale.” Bell’s uses six different hop varieties and Simcoe dry hops to create this limited-release ale. The hops are selected because they contribute a pungent blend of grapefruit, stone fruit, and floral notes and when Bell’s adds honey the beer becomes a generous malt and a solid dollop of honey provides just enough body to keep the balance in check, resulting in a remarkably drinkable rendition of the Double India Pale Ale style.
We’re offering 2 per customer because we want everyone who would like to try this remarkable beer to have the chance to score some!

PS – French wine tasting from 5 -7 PM on Saturday!
In 2008 Chris and I went to the Finger Lakes region in New York State for our honeymoon. We cruised the wine trail and had a fantastic time. Here I am, a new bride, standing next to the sign for Dr. Konstantin D. Frank & Son’s vineyard.
Dr. Franks (as the vineyard is known) sits along the Keuka Lake wine trail, near Hammondsport, NY. All of the vineyards surround the beautiful Finger Lakes and visiting the tasting rooms is so much fun.
Chris ordered this Salmon Run Riesling (2010) for me and we got a few extra bottles to sell in the shop. The steely acidic backbone and pear and apple flavors allow it to pair well with all kinds of food.

See you soon!

The local Lexington newspaper, The Dispatch, has published an article about the goings on here at the shop! Click Here to read the article. It’s a great article and the only thing we’d change is the spelling of my name: Kristin (not Kirstin). When you come into the shop, just ask for Chris / Kris – one of us will answer! : )
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and we’re getting ready to help you impress the one you love! Here’s this week’s first suggestion: Our Saint-Hilaire sparkling wine! This is France’s oldest sparkling wine brand, created by the Benedictine Monks of the Abbey Saint-Hilaire over 450 years ago (more than 100 years before champagne was created).
We’re also featuring Valentine gift bags to help make your gift even more special!
Later this week we’ll share a Valentine’s wine and chocolate pairing that’ll knock your socks off! We’re all about the love this week! : )
PS – Don’t forget that we’re kicking off our Thursday wine tasting with a taste of Italy! See you from 5 PM – 7 PM!
PPS – Watch the Dispatch for an article about Tastings tomorrow! We’re in the business section.
